The Calabasas High School Girls Golf team demonstrated remarkable growth and determination during the 2024-2025 season. Under the guidance of Head Coach Lance Novak, the Coyotes faced formidable competition in the Marmonte League, finishing 4th place in the Marmonte League Tournament.

Team Performance:

The Coyotes finished 3rd in the CIF-Division 3 playoffs, showcasing their consistency and competitive spirit throughout the season. This strong performance was a testament to their teamwork and resilience in the face of tough opponents.

Key Players:

Avery Shellow: As a senior leader, Shellow consistently delivered strong performances, providing stability and experience to the team. Shellow finished individually first in a head to head matchup against Chaminade High School on October 17th.

Sadie Johnson: Another senior standout, Johnson's dedication and skill were evident throughout the season, contributing significantly to the team's efforts. Johnson helped the Coyotes to their 3rd place CIF-Division 3 finish with an 82.

Julia Canales: The sophomore showcased impressive talent, competing in the CIF-SS Individual Tournament at Los Robles Golf Course on October 30th and placing 38/114 after shooting a 76. Canales also shot a 1-under 71 at the Marmonte League Tournament #4.

Asher Gonzalez: Also a sophomore, Gonzalez added depth to the team's lineup and performed well in the CIF-SS Individual and Team Tournament, posting scores of 74 and 77.

Season Highlights:

The Coyotes secured two notable victories, reflecting their resilience and commitment to improvement. Their 3rd place finish in the CIF Division 3 playoffs was a crowning achievement for the season.

Looking Ahead:

With the graduation of seniors like Shellow and Johnson, the team will look to underclassmen such as Canales and Gonzalez to step into leadership roles. The experience gained this season sets a solid foundation for future success in the Marmonte League.
