The Calabasas High School Boys Golf team is gearing up for the 2024-2025 season, building on a rich history of success and aiming for new achievements.
Team Overview:
The Coyotes have a storied tradition in high school golf, with notable accomplishments including:
2009 CIF Academic Champions
2010 CIF Northern Division Champions
2016 CIF Central Coast Division Runner-Up
League Championships in 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, and 2022
CIF Individual Qualifier - 1992, 1994 -1997, 2008, 2010 - 2012, 2016 - 2019, 2022
Additionally, multiple players have advanced to play at the collegiate level, underscoring the program's commitment to developing talent.
2024 Season Performance:
In the 2024 season, the Varsity team recorded a 2-6 head-to-head record.
Upcoming Season:
With the departure of standout seniors Freddie Carcamo and Aneel Sethi, the Coyotes will lean on their younger players to step up and fill the gaps. The team’s success will rely on the development of underclassmen and their ability to perform under pressure in both league and invitational tournaments.
Key Players:
Eli Rosen (Senior): Despite missing multiple league tournaments in 2023, Rosen showed flashes of talent with an 86 in Marmonte League Tournament #1 at Los Robles Greens.
Liam Bina (Junior): In his first year on varsity, Bina posted strong showings with multiple sub-90 performances.
Jonah Polan (Senior): While Polan has yet to appear in a league tournament, he’s poised to see a serious increase in tournament time this season.
Oliver Stern (Senior): As a three-year varsity starter, Stern has remained consistent, primarily shooting in the 80s.
Drew Gilbert (Sophomore): Gilbert played in 5 Marmonte League Tournaments as a freshman, steadily improving in each.
Ray Lally (Sophomore): In addition to his drumming talents, Lally posted a 79 in the final Marmonte League tournament.
